New cut-off dates for ERDF co-financed Grant Schemes

Under the Malta Structural Funds programme (2014-2020), a total of EUR 51 million has been allocated in grants to businesses. The overall objective of the program across the EU is to promote jobs, growth and create a better quality of life in Europe.

On June 22nd, the government announced new dates for submitting applications for non-repayable grants co-financed by the European Regional Development Fund (ERDF). As a local business owner this gives you the opportunity to grow your business.

The latest currently available cut-off date to access these grants is end of December 2022.


RRP co-financed Grant Schemes recently launched

Under the Recovery and Resilience Plan (RRP) for Malta (2020-2025), approximately EUR 85 million has been allocated in grants to businesses. The RRP is an instrument backed by the Recovery and Resilience Facility (RRF) under the Next Generation EU, the EU’s response to the challenges brought about by the COVID-19 pandemic. The overall objective of the RRF is to support the recovery in the aftermath of the pandemic with investments in the green and digital transitions.

Recently, the government announced a set of measures and is inviting applications for non-repayable grants co-financed by the RRF. These measures can help your business to achieve energy efficiency and digital transformation, including use of emerging technologies. Currently, the following measures are available:

The closing date for the SME Digitalisation and the Digital Intensification measures is the 16th of December 2022.

There is also another scheme which enables the ‘Purchase of New Electric Vehicles’ by small, medium and large enterprises under certain circumstances and conditions. Get in touch with us if you’re interested to hear more about this.
